Milovan Božinović (b. 1947), a retired Serbian diplomat and geopolitical analyst for Serbian media, has maintained a publicly moderate rhetorical style; however, he has actively participated in disseminating anti-Western and pro-Putin propaganda that aligns with and legitimizes Russia’s aggression against Ukraine.
A prominent example of this occurred during an interview on the infamous pro-Russian, anti-Western talk show Aktuelnosti, broadcast on TV Happy on April 21, 2023. Božinović appeared as a guest alongside pro-Russian propagandist John Bosnitch (b. 1961), and both were interviewed by host Aleksandar Stanisavljević. The interview served as a platform for amplifying disinformation narratives that framed the West as culpable in global instability while rationalizing Russian military actions in Ukraine—reflecting Božinović’s broader pattern of contributing to state-aligned, revisionist discourse within the Serbian media landscape:
