An example of pro-Russian soft power in the media in Serbia: it is often spread among citizens through the prism of so-called “humanitarian aid.” In this specific case, two young people, during their “humanitarian” pilgrimage between the monasteries of the Serbian Orthodox Church—Žiča in Serbia and Ostrog in Montenegro—promote the following motifs:
- Celebrating one of the killed attackers in the terrorist attack near the Banjska monastery in Kosovo on September 24, 2023
- Carrying the flag of the Russian Orthodox Army, which is one of the symbols of Russian aggression against Ukraine
- Displaying the “No Surrender” flags, which symbolize the national-revisionist narrative against Kosovo, crafted by the Government of the Republic of Serbia over the past 12 years
