Željko Vukelić (b. 1968) is an alleged Serbian war veteran involved in various military conflicts during the 1990s. He is known for his pro-Russian and Serbian national-revisionist narratives and activities, while also being connected to several individuals affiliated with the Serbian government and to pro-Russian military veteran organizations. In addition to founding several war veteran groups, he has also been associated with a political party representing the ethnic Slovak minority in Serbia, Ratni veterani za Srbiju (Vojnovi veterani pre Srbsko). Among his pro-Russian activities is the formation of the pro-Russian Zlatibor 2018 Youth Patriotic Camp, organized with the support of the Serbian ruling coalition partner Zdrava Srbija (ZS), led by Milan Stamatović (b. 1960).
An example of Vukelić’s anti-Western public engagement is an interview he gave to the pro-Russian propaganda YouTube channel Pravi odgovor, owned by Nikša Bulatović (b. 1977), on April 30, 2025. In the interview, he described how his war veteran–affiliated group established an official relationship with the organizers of the 2024–25 student protests. Additionally, he criticized the EU, NATO, and the collective West in general, while expressing a favorable stance toward the Russian Federation.
